I’m super excited to announce that La Cordée has joined my team of supporters and I am so happy to be representing this great company whose values and passion for plein air I also share! For those of you wondering how I came to join forces with La Cordée, it actually came about through an extremely fortunate series of events!
Last winter I met up with a couple that had booked a ski lesson with me at the Aerobic Corridor in Morin Heights. After getting to know this enthusiastic couple and after what I’d consider a successful lesson, we went our separate ways. About a week later, completely by fluke, I ran into the same couple in the parking lot of the grocery store. After greeting each other, Claude went on to ask if I had any sponsors. He mentioned he was the financial director for one of the biggest plein air stores in Quebec – La Cordée! He suggested I send him my athletic résumé and told me he would pass it on to the president… and the rest is history! I feel so fortunate to have met such generous people and so thankful that they will be supporting me along this road to achieving my dreams. It’s always extremely special and motivating to meet people who believe in your dreams, and without these kinds of people who support you; it would be very difficult to keep on with your pursuit.
It’s really important that the people who have shown me support throughout my young athletic career know how much it means to me that they believe in my passion. Everything I do is made possible by the unyielding support from my family, the encouragement from friends and financial support from sponsors that allows me to keep doing what I love to the fullest. With all these people standing behind me, including teachers, coaches, neighbours, co-workers and everyone who has ever helped and encouraged me, it motivates me to put 110% of myself into what makes me the happiest and what I have dedicated my life to – skiing!
I am back in Canmore now after spending my rest week at home in Morin Heights – a much needed rest week after a great training camp up at the Haig Glacier that included loads of quality hours of skiing! In two weeks my team will be off to Park City, Utah for what I’ve been told is the best fall training camp ever! I’m looking forward to getting in some good running and mountain biking adventures along with some solid roller skiing!
I want to end with sending thank you’s to everyone! YOU get a thank you, and YOU get a thank you, YOU ALL get a thank you!
Thank you!
